"I would like to hear your professional opinion on the following issue: I have been on F-1 visa for 7 consecutive years. I have an employer that has sponsored me as a Graphic Designer. In fact I have obtained the I-140 through him already. I recently applied for employment AOS (July 25th) with my wife (She is on F2 visa) and I'm currently waiting on the Notice Receipt. School starts on August 20th and I'm hesitant on when exactly the new Immigrant Status starts. Do I still need to enroll for classes in order to maintain my visa? I don't intend to finish school due to financial difficulties, when exactly may I drop out from school? Should I remain enrolled up until I receive the EAD and AP? Hi, I am in 8th year of H1b with 140 approved (EB3) from company A. I would like to switch to company B and planning to start EB2 quickly to enage a new interesting project . I have following questions related to the same and early advice from you all would be highly appreciated as am running out of time in engaging the new project.
1. Can I do H1 transfer from company A to company B using A's 140 approval after my 6 years of original h1b quota. I am currently on 8th year of h1b.
2. Can I able to port the priority date from company A's EB3 filing with the new EB2 filing from company B?
3. If company A cancels the 140, still can I able to port the PD ?

graduated with a MS in Computer science in may2007.
i applied to another university and got my sevis transferred to do my MBA there.
i have done 11 months 20 days of full time CPT at the previous university(where i did my MS).
am i eligible for another full time CPT at my new university where i have started my MBA (from jan 21st 2008)?
the international students service at my previous university is saying "i am eligible for 12months of full time CPT for every educational level, and i cannot get another 12 months if i do MBA because it is a masters degree too".
please suggest.

Just carrying a copy of the receipt is sufficient. Normally the officer will only be interested in the passport and original AP document - that was my experience recently coming into the country.

To my knowledge H1B extension is just like a new H1B application ofcourse 6 years window will be couted here and you have spent just 3 years. To me you can file H1B extension with multiple companies. But its better to file it with original company to be on safe side, onece the extension approval come ytou can trasfer it whereever you want.

Hi, I have question about my case.
My family was applied I-485 by my mom's working at the company, and all my family had EAD which is working permit and received SSN with that EAD.
However, 2008 January our I-485 have got denied because of sponsor got closed.
That was the before our EAD card gets expired. So I couldn't renew the EAD card.
So My question is, is there any way to renew that EAD now?
if I still want to work, what does I have to do?
The EAD is a benefit of being in AOS --- i.e., due to pending I-485 approval. When your I-485 (I-485 applications are individual applications) was denied, your EAD stopped being valid. If you did not stop working, then you were working illegally (assuming that you had no other work VISA). So you have been out of status for more than 2 years, and possibly accrued unlawful presence for a similar period as well. If your unlawful presence accumulated to 180 days, that will trigger a 3 year ban from entering US, and a 10 year ban if the unlawful presence is 1 year or more.

When will they post inventory data? I got bored with analyzing/looking May 2010 inventory. EB3 filers like me needs something to munch on for next couple of years.

I'm working for Company A and this is my 7th year on H1-B.
I got three years extension last year which is good until Aug'2012 through companyA.(Based on approved I-140 from my previous employer).
My previous employer withdrew my I-140 petition but luckly after getting my 3 year extension with Company A.
Actually,I didn't know that my previous employer had withdrawn the I-140 petition.(Online case status was showing it as approved.) q
I got a very good offer from Company B but I didnt want to take chances with USCIS,so I've told them that I would join only after approval.
CompanyB applied for my H1-B peition asking for 3 year of extension based on I-140 approval.
I was told today that my CompanyB H1-B petition has been denied because of I-140 withdrawal from my previous employer.we didnt know about this because the online case status for I-140 was still showing as approved.
Question
1)Since I've a valid visa until 2012 with Company A. Can company B reappeal the decision asking for H1-B transfer only until 2012.
2)Does the denial has any impact on my current Company A's H1-B petition.
I know it's a tough one but I do appreciate your feedback/help on this issues.

Thanks...it gave me some work both, when taking it and post processing it, on account of the contrasting light conditions, but it came out quite alright.
