What I was wondering was that, since BOTH F-1 and TN are non dual-intent visas, would they allow people to hold both of them at the same time? So that I can study during the school year, and work in the same area in the summer instead of having to go back home to support myself.

I like to know your experience with Perm for job zone V and ad in paper.
Which one you think will go through easier without the audit.
Our company attorney says master+0 will work. But I am thinking to require some experience will get better chance. I have master with 2 years before joining this company.

I said that as the LCA results will be out in 9 months or less according to the current scenario which gives me time for filing the I-140 before July 2011. Shouldn't I be having a 3 yr extension then? The Talent services Manager at my office said so..

I-140 doesn't belong to the employee. Period.
Then ownership of I-140 needs to change as well. Maybe this is something we could all work in the long term.... and not an immediate goal at this time. Of'course this will need help from everybody on the forums. Something like this is sure to help all of us.

Did we ever think about forming a team with other like minded people under one banner? I think we will be able to effect something if all Pro CIR people join hands together and pool our resources. Any suggestions??

AILA sees 11 milllion clients at their door step, so they support more of CIR which mostly favours illegals
Compete America is more towards corporate interest, they will be happy if they get more H1Bs, they do support more EB green cards, but I don't think itz their top agenda
IV is formed by guys who are really victims, so we know whatz in our best intrest, none of other groups are not victims they just want to take advantage of current situation
never the less their policy do align with ours , so I am sure IV core members are in touch with these organization and work them more closly

It's ok to join new company as long as the transfer application was delivered to the USCIS. I got the fedex receipt from the new company and I am ok with it.

I had recently applied for my 5 yr old son for passport renewal at washington DC embassy, as we fall under their jurisdiction and got the new passport.
I had mailed all the documents and it took around 1 months to get the passport.

Hi,
I lost my jon w/big software consultancy. I found another project and then applied for H1-B transfer with Indian consulting company. Its been almost 1 month since new company have filed for H1-B transfer and renewal (my H1-B was expring on July 6th, 2009).
so far, i've not received any H1-B recipt. I'm worried about it. I'm also getting married in the last w/e of Nov, 2009. Is it a good idea to file for Premimum processing.

My friend filed on July 24 and just got his receipts.. His receipt date is 7/17. Seems all late July/Early Aug filers under July bulletin will have RD of 7/17...
Any one to confirm or deny this... This pattern seems logical as visa bulletin was revived on 7/17 and most of the folks can't file for the 2 weeks during fiasco...

I got my passport renewed in 2005 as my old one was expiring. I had to send my original passport to the Consulate. They sent the new passport with the old one attached to it.

Hi Guys,
I was reading another thread and a question came to my mind..
I entered in US on AP and got the I-94 with the validity date as my AP date. Now my AP is going to expire and I am not going to travel anywhere any time this year. So just wondering what will happen when the I-94 is expired. Do I have to get it renewed from somewhere or just dun worry about it. or do I have to apply for a new AP.
Can anyone can shed some light on this situation?

If it is new 485 filing then you don't have A#.
A# on I-140 is nothing do with your 485.
Its has everything to do with 485 if its the alien # alloted to you at 140 stage and begins with a 0 (zero) thats your permanent alient number wont change for life.
But as far as not mentioning it is no big deal as your paperwork includes I140 copy or original whatever and shouldnt have any negative impact on the filing.

USCIS might re-start PP for I-140 once they complete receipting 485 applications and EAD, AP approvals for July and August filers..which may take atleast 3 to 4 more months!!

Thanks for reading this message. Since you are from mid-west, you are capable of taking your car and drive in the direction of DC. It will take anywhere from 9-15hours. But you will be able to do it.
If there was a possibility of USCIS handing a GC in person, you would have driven 50 hours. Can you not drive for 10hours for a cause that is affecting you, me and everyone around us?
Now make up your mind and drive and meet other mid-westerners in DC.
I know one mr Gan*** - who flew to Nebraska with a Substitute labor and i 140 petition on the last day before labor substitution was banned. Mr Gane** also filed for 485 after the fiasco and we had a drink together because he thought he did a marvellous job as he is just 2 months old in US and has just landed in a consulting job and already applied 140/485 during the fiasco.
But he is not willing to hop onto my car, lives 5 miles from my place in Queens, to go to DC.
This shows the poor attitude people have towards grassroots efforts.

If you have worked illegally for < 6months you may be covered by this..if its > 6 months.. go out of the country and come back in with a new i94..
