How dependable will your Mac be in 10 years? I'd say it's pretty much irrelevant. Do you really think you'll be using the same computer in 10 years?
I converted to a Mac for the first time last year at this time. I researched a bunch of stuff online and watched a number of videos to see the differences between Mac's and PC's. Once I got the Mac, I got the hang of it pretty quickly.
In terms of security, I don't use any security software and I haven't noticed any problems.
For file organization, I'd say it's very easy to keep files organized.

They CANNOT be compared. Two totally different IEM's. Two totally different prices.
Exactly. I was pointing out that Ajays Four are nowhere near high end, by comparing them to something high end.

However, this article (http://portal.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=1062325) said that we'll need 1 zettaflops for full weather simulation. That's 10^21 operations/second!
10^21 operations per second and it'll still be wrong.
I don't think the weatherman is shaking in his boots just yet.:D

I liked it quite a bit - it would be nice, too, if Apple could figure out a way to show off its operating system (although that would be nearly impossible to do in 30 seconds!)

Howdy. I have a Logitech G5, Logitech G9, and Razer Lachesis. I love 'em all but none has a Mac driver. :(
Do you use a laser mouse? If so, which do you use?
(I don't game, but the higher sensitivity works nicely for larger screen resolutions and some graphic design)
Thx!The problem isn't necessarily a mac driver, but Apple's Acceleration Curve. It works perfectly with Apple Mice, but not so much with other's. Now assuming that your issue is tracking issue and not customizable buttons, then my solution will work for you. Download USB overdrive and install it. If I remember correctly, you will have to restart your mac after installation. Now their is a free and a paid version, the free will work just fine. After installation, you can change the settings under system preferences -> USB Overdrive.
In the picture below, you will see two sliders. I find it helpful to have the top slider near the far right, and the bottom slider near the far left. I believe I also set the mouse speed (found in the normal mouse settings) around the middle, but you can set it anywhere.
As far as mice with mac drivers, I recently purchased the Logitech wireless m510. I am normally picky when it come to mice, but I do enjoy using it. After installing the logitech driver and uninstalling USB Overdrive, the mice works nicely. I've only had it for a few days, but I love it.

For your specific needs and requirements, the 5870 is the way to go. No question.
Personally, I am waiting for retail Lion to see what's up with AMD 6xxx series drivers.

Specifically, you mean men's trousers.
Perhaps it's to do with the way men's clothing in Western society has adapted through the years as responses to their occupations, especially since the Industrial Revolution. Hard-wearing and inexpensive textiles for manual workers, expensive but muted colours for those in non-manual trades... combined with the general expense of decorative fabrics.
But I'm just wildly speculating here...
A couple of weeks ago, I went to the Victoria & Albert Museum (http://www.vam.ac.uk/) here in London where they have many collections of historical clothing from throughout the world many non-western cultures were far more flamboyant in their male attire, particularly cultures from the Orient.
But now the suit has become the international masculine garb of politics, trade and commerce. Take one look at those staged photos of the leaders at the G8 or any other international gathering it's rare to see leaders in traditional and local dress.
My random thoughts, anyway.

I don't know if this is occurring here, but in many other instances of touting/scalping, people deliberately sabotage the auctions by putting in high fake bids - it's possible the highest of those isn't a genuine offer.

I've decided that I don't really want to part out the machine if I do actually sell it. Right now it's looking like I have a good idea of what I want to do with both machines in the future so I may hold off on selling them.

I'm looking to buy my second. If the 'je ne sais quoi' of the iMac has got you interested, you'll probably love it.
I think they're great. As for a score...? I'll give it a 9. In terms of how it meets my needs.

@blevins321:
Thanks for the suggestion, it's very useful. I've already done that for my dad, and it works when he saves contacts through the contacts app.
The main issue is that Apple has made it (rightfully so) very intuitive to save a contact from the dialer or recent-calls menu. all you have to do is click the right-arrow and you'll be able to "add to contacts", which dumps it into the iphone-contacts folder, instead of exchange, regardless of the default contact view in the contacts app.
I myself don't add contacts through the contacts app, as I normally key in the number in the dialer then hit the "+" button to create a contact :/

I think only a few east coast stores ever had them, and you were required to activate in store to prevent re-selling.
Anyways, that doesn't apply at all to anyone international. eyemac, no don't worry about it :) I'd prefer to keep offers to PM just for privates sake but I will comment that I'm looking for a little more because I still lose a few dollars there, and I really don't want to lose any money. I'm seeing them go for $450-$550 on eBay so that would be optimal but I don't expect that here, of course.
Please bid if you are interested :)
They can now be purchased online as well in all parts of the country for $249 through AT&T (there's no contract when buying the phone, either), there's a thread about it in the iPhone news forum. So I think that price would be very optimistic, as anyone on here could get one for $249 and have it unlocked in twenty minutes.
Also, if it's a refurb, why does it come in the packaging for new phones? IIRC, refurb iPhones come in brown boxes...
Your best bet is ebay, especially if you want prices like that.

can anyone confirm that the UConn (or CCSU) bookstores are selling leopard at this discounted price? If so what do you need to buy it (student id?) and is it available today or in a couple months or something?
