....It would be best to wait until this Summer for the next OS upgrade to come out (10.7 aka Lion) otherwise you'll be looking at an OS upgrade cost to you in the future.
Perhaps Lion will cost relatively little, such as the Snow Leopard upgrade.

As mentioned on previous post, you need to have your SHSHs saved if you want to installed anything else than the current firmware released by Apple, (currently 4.3). The windows where Apple was signing those SHSHs for 4.2.1 have already been closed (so unless somehow you got your SHSHs saved by tiny Umbrella or Cydia before) your only option is to upgrade to 4.3 or wait out for a Jailbreak tool.
Jailbreak tools don't help restore to earlier firmware. It's more the other way around -- people save SHSHs in case a jailbreak method requires a downgrade to earlier firmware. If you didn't save the SHSH, there's no way to downgrade, now or ever.

Find a parabolic equation that matches the graph.
/threadAs the graph is not of a parabolic function, what good would that do?

A brash thing to say! I'm expecting this to be an inch shy of perfect now.
You should know - nothing is perfect. To expect as much will only lead to dissapointment. ;)

The mail function returns a success or denied variable. Both function calls were fine. I have had issues sending mail to gmail before. I can't remember what I did to fix it. I'm thinking it was something with the headers but it may have been with the server.

The Library of Congress already rule jb is legal. Try again.
Whatever 'muscle' is? All you need to sue someone is money and both Apple and Sony have more than enough.
I've never seen somebody more clueless.
If Geohot loses, Apple could try another pass at it. Even the lowest court could throw out the Library of Congress's opinion.
Clearly somebody wasn't paying attention in middle school history when they went over constitutional powers.
I just donated $100. Geohot is a drama queen but this has absolutely nothing to do with him as a person but the importance of what he did.

I had on of these and gave it away.
My boss had one of those. I tried several times to get him to part with it but no luck.

Yes, any Apple Authorized Service Center will honor the AppleCare. I have worked for two so far, and generally I would recommend them over the Apple Stores for most situations.
Note that he didn't say reseller. That would be a different story.

No wonder my answer was c*ap, I was answering a different question to what he was asking! Us British are useless! Thanks bud :)

I myself like the 300Gb maxtor, it is a little bit noiser then the seagate but the 16mb cache does make it feel snappy. Besides it makes the most sense in $. It is jus a little bit more than less storage and a lot less than those with 400 or 500Gb. My 2 cents.
For 3 platters you can get a 400GB Seagate.

Dunno what OS you have, but I will assume up-to-date on everything. Click airport signal thingy on top right, and click "use interference robustness" or whatever it's called. Then try.
What does that do anyways? Should I have it checked?

Erase and Install.
Lesson: Don't install preview/beta OS over your original OS when you are relying on that machine.
+1. I'm going to wait till Lion has been out for 2-3 months and all the 3rd party software I use is compatible with it :D

Thanks for the heads up! I think I'm actually going to Target first . . .I've heard that some targets have started handing out vouchers already. It would be great to get a voucher and then just wander around. I think you're probably right about 16gb selling out first. Good Luck! If I'm unsuccessful you may see me at BB too.

i still need more concrete clarification on whether to trademark or copyright the logo for my company...
No need to bother. You possess moral rights immediately upon its final form:
When is my work protected?
Your work is under copyright protection the moment it is created and fixed in a tangible form that it is perceptible either directly or with the aid of a machine or device.
Besides, to be frank, it's quite probable that your design will infringe on the copyright of others.

Most bi-OS folks use a native Windows backup as their primary line of defense and run that within Windows. (The W7 backup is fairly decent).
What we are talking about here is really imaging/cloning while booted to OS X, which can be useful in cases like the OPs where they may want to resize the Windows partition.
If you use Parallels or Fusion with a non-shared (Boot Camp) VM, they VM is just a file and gets backed up with your regular Mac OS X backups. The VM software alos allows you to make "snapshots" of the VM as another level of backup. You lose that ability in a shared Boot Camp/VM install of Windows.
So if you don't need full access to the hardware, stick with a VM-only install for the most flexibility.
B
i run Maya, Nuke, and Adobe CS5 in Windows 7 Boot Camp, so i definitely need full access to the hardware. so if i am working in Windows via Boot Camp, i can backup my files with Windows Backup, but its not actually making a bootable copy/clone of Windows, right?
what i'm looking for is the ability to make a clone of my Boot Camp partition just like i do with my OSX partition. i'd like it so that if i had to replace the hard drive my Boot Camp partition is on, i can just copy the (clone/image/bootable backup) back to the new hard drive.
